Samantha Newbold studied at the Royal College of Music, London with Yonty Solomon having already won the Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year competition in 1997. The high standard of her playing, led to her being awarded an Exhibition from the College. She later gained a Bmus (hons) degree, ARCM teaching diploma, and was subsequently awarded the Phoebe Benham and Leverhulme Junior Fellowship from the College. In 2001 she won the prestigious Serena Nevill prize from the Concordia Foundation

She is in great demand as a recitalist, she has performed in London and festivals nationwide, whilst internationally she has played all over Europe and America. She has performed all the major solo repertoire including the Grieg, Schumann, Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.2, Mozart K466, K467 and K488 and Beethoven 3rd and 5th "Emperor" Piano Concertos.

Samantha has broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM with the highly successful Newbold Piano Quartet. The Quartet has won the Ensemble Award and Miller Trophy in the Royal Over-Seas League competition, the Parkhouse Award, the Tillett Trust Young Artists Platform and the Tunnell Trust Competition. They have also played as part of the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme and Live Music Now.

Samantha has performed in all the major London venues including the Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Barbican, St. Martins-in-the-Fields, St. James' Piccadilly. Performances on the Cunard Line with the Concordia Classical Music Series have taken her to many exciting destinations from the Norwegian Fjords to the Caribbean. More recently she has completed the first in a series of cello and piano duo recordings with Riverrun Records. As a soloist she has produced a live recording of her latest performance in America.
